39. For the purposes of the first paragraph of section 60.5 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26), access to documents contained in a record is free. Midwives may, however, charge fees not exceeding the cost of reproducing or transcribing documents or the cost of transmitting a copy of the documents.
Midwives who intend to charge fees pursuant to this section must inform the person making the request of the amount to be paid before transcribing, copying or transmitting the documents.
